How EMDR Therapy can help

Have you ever felt like you were stuck in certain emotions or memories? That traditional talk therapy was not allowing you to move forward from these experiences? This can be caused by your body's ability to hold onto or store unprocessed memories and emotions. This can show up as anxiety, panic attacks, flashbacks of painful memories or struggles with relationships. 

EMDR allows you to process these “stuck” feelings and thought patterns so you can move forward.

  • EMDR also known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a form of therapy that's goal is to heal trauma or other distressing life experiences.

    On a high level EMDR works by using bilateral stimulation (like moving your eyes back and forth) while you process traumatic memories.

  • This will vary for each person. However, for optimal results, meeting once a week for 60-90 minutes for at least 12 weeks is recommended . We can work together create an effective treatment plan that works for you.
